Its always good to give feedback but our industry the feedback is very personal. There is nothing more heart warming than reading peoples true feelings and what else touches people more than writing about our most treasured possessions that are our children. Here is a brief list of the some of the letters that we have received.

The following are messages sent to Leeds City Council in relation to nominating us for Child Friendly Leeds Awards 2020.
Lia and Karl are Buttercup Lane Childminders but are so much more than childminders. They go above and beyond with the aim of making children happy and they work really, really hard. The are heavily involved with Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids, they do the East Ardsley rocks, Fairy Doors in our local Woods and run the local free library, They always put the kids first and are very special people
Karl and Lia run Buttercup Lane Childminders in east Ardsley. Not only are they amazing childminders, but they put so much of their own time into creating amazing experiences for children in the local community. their main success has been the east ARdsley Fairy Doors trail which they have created throught the local Fall Lane Woods. They have designed “fairy doors! and placed them in the wooods, encouraged children to create their own adn to walk in the woods to see the fairies. They also have an East Ardsley Rocks initiative, encouraging children to piant rocks, take a walk to hide them for other children to find. They have also had a Little Library installed on the Meadowside Estate, where children are welcome to take books home for free. they really do put 110% into the development of our local children
Lia and Karl are and inspiration not only are they amazing childminders who care for the children as if they are their own, the places and experiences they give the children in their care is absolutley outstanding. The work they do for the community too is inbelievable and the cash for kids charity is one of the charities who really benefits for their enthusiasm, thought and care. 2 absolutely amazingly, wonderful, caring people. So honoured to have met them and have their support. I’ve never come across childminders who go out of the way like they do to ensure children in their care and children not in their care have such a fulfilled life”
The amazing things they do as childminders and in the community. Woodland fairy walk community library. Childrens adventures and overall care and caring activities given to children in care.
This business has children at its heart and soul. They have influenced a community and inspired kids to be active, creative and courageous. The East Ardsley Rocks and Fairy doors they developed has led to the children, beavers and school getting involved, they made it cool again to go out and be kids in a safe environment. These strategies encouraged and an active and healthy community, they also inspired creativity and imagination of the kids. These two people are fantastic role models encouraging kids to care and share and they do an enormous amount of charity work for children devoting their whole lives to kids.
Lia Price always strives to engage and encourage children in her childminding. She actively involved the children in the local community such as East Ardsley litle book library, East Ardsley Rocks and always makes time to teach, learn, grow abd develop the children. I feel Lia deserves recognition for all her hard work and dedication and encouraging children to take care of and take pride in their community she is an asset and a real credit to childminding.
Lia Price and Karl Stead of Buttercup lane Childminder’s In East Ardsley do so much for our local community. I’d like them to be recongised in some way. They are both ambassadors for Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids Charity and every year and throughout the year the are fundraising in one way or another. They collect clothes for the food bank from individuals in our area abd deliver these to Radio Aire Every single week. At Christmas the collect Christmas Presents for the charity and help with the mommoth task of wrapping them all. They continue to contribute to our more local community. This year they fundraised for a Leeds Little Library in the village and they ensure its upkeep and rotation of books. They have setup and run East Ardsley Rocks abd most recently they have transformed our village nature reserve into a magical fairy walk. Karl and lIa are absolutely amzing. Last year they also arranged carol singing in our village with proceeds from the refreshments being donated to Cash for Kids. Everyone in our village knows Karl and Lia and they appreciate the efforts that thye make to improving the lives of the children in our own community but also across Leeds via Cash for Kids. They work ibcredibly hard and with such passion for the cause. Most recently they have been the victim of a few small minded individuals they wer attacked and had their car broken into. It would be amazing if they could be recongised through this awards system in some way. Our community needs Karl and Lia they give their time and energy to us and most importantly thet are role models for our future generations.
I nominate this couple for the amazing hard work they have put in their own community. They have given their time and dedication to providing fun and magic for children round rge local East Ardsley Woods, making magical fairy doors and East Ardsley Rocks. They also take very good care of the little library and so lots of work for charities such as Cash for Kids. They genuinely do all this out of the goodness of their hearts and would never ask for anything. I know if this amazing couple are to win such an award it would be so wonderful for them both. Thank you.
